The Trophy System

What is the best way to learn the most material that your interests, needs and wants can allow? The Fred Astaire Trophy system is a great place to start! We have broken it down into 4 Award Classifications to ensure the most success. Our Trophy system is recognized nationally so no matter where you go in the country you can take advantage of group classes and competitions in your dance level!

 

Qualification Award:

Geared towards students who really are looking for social dancing and have a minimum amount of time to devote to their dancing.

  • 4 dances from our Bronze/Silver/Gold Syllabus
  • Freestyle Dance performance (You and your partner dancing as if it was a Friday night party)

 

Standard Awards

Geared for students who want to be more adventurous and challenged with their dancing.

  • 6 Dances from our Bronze/Silver/Gold Syllabus
  • Freestyle Dance performance (You and your partner dancing as if it was a Friday night party)
  • Solo performance of figures #1, #3 and #6

 

Honors Awards

Geared towards students who want excel at their dancing. Nothing can stand in their way nor should they!

  • Social – 10 Dances from our Bronze/Silver/Gold Syllabus

Advanced – 13 Dances from our Bronze/Silver/Gold Syllabus

  • Freestyle Dance performance (You and your partner dancing as if it was a Friday night party)
  • Solo performance of all the figures at your level

 

Double Honors

This is geared for the student working towards becoming a teacher of the craft. They must know their part in Freestyle and Solo as well as their Counterpart in Freestyle and Solo performances as well!

 

Our Trophy System is geared towards students of all types. Those just beginning their journey to those who have been dancing for years. Those who want to learn just some dances to get them through a formal event to those who want to know it all! Ask a teacher for more information on becoming a nationally recognized dancer.
